Filing Complaints

You may come into the office for filing complaints or general questions regarding your particular situation.  You may schedule an appointment on a Monday, Wednesday or Friday to see one of the attorneys; you may also come to the office, sign in and be seen on a first-come-first-serve basis.

If you come to file a complaint, you should first report the incident to the proper authorities, Paducah Police Department, if the crime was committed within the city limits or McCracken County Sheriff's Department if the crime was committed in the county.  If the complaint is a felony, you should make your report with a detective.  For all misdemeanor charges, you must bring a copy of the police report with you to our office.  You will also need a complete list of all witnesses along with contact information for each witness.  You will also need to bring a copy of any evidence you have to support your charge (pictures, printed text messages, Facebook pages).  You will be asked to fill out an information sheet and everything will be given to our investigator for follow-up.
